Young Statesmen Book Club Book List

This year, as most of you know, we are splitting the Young Statesmen Book Club into 2 smaller groups. We were just growing so big that we thought it would be more effective to have 2 smaller groups so each child would have plenty of opportunity to participate in the discussion. The age groups will be ages 9-11 for the younger group and ages 12 and up for the older group. Until Amy moves she will be leading the older group, so if you have any questions about the group e-mail her at jakeamy@aol.com. Kim is leading the younger group. You can e-mail your questions to her at nimmymay30@yahoo.com. We will be holding both clubs on the same night so that if you have kids in both groups you will only have to make one trip. The older kids will be meeting at Amy's house and the younger group at Kim's. We will e-mail directions to Kim's houses when it lets closer to our next meeting. Meetings will still be held on the 3rd Thursday of the month, the older group will be meeting from 7:00-9:00, and the younger group will be meeting from 7:30-9:00.

We chose books that we thought would lead to a good discussion, not books that would streach your child's reading ability, although, not all of the books are at the same reading level, especially in the younger group.

I just ordered the books that we will need through October. Thanks for adding a link to Amazon. It makes ordering very simple.
